Job Overview

A Sr. Staff Product Designer for Protax Group would help lead the design team in creating user-friendly, intuitive, and visually appealing tax and accounting software solutions. This role requires an experienced designer who can lead and mentor designers, drive design strategy, and ensure a cohesive user experience across all products while helping SLT with strategic priorities.


Responsibilities


  • Design Strategy & Vision:聽Define and drive the design vision for all Protax products, ensuring a consistent and high-quality user experience that aligns with business goals.

  • Team Leadership:聽Lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented product designers. Provide clear direction, constructive feedback, and professional development opportunities.

  • User Research:聽Partner with the Product Management team to conduct user research, usability testing, and customer interviews to deeply understand user needs and pain points.

  • Design Execution:聽Oversee the entire design process, from wireframing and prototyping to high-fidelity mockups and interaction design.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:聽Work closely with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure designs are feasible, delivered on time, and meet product requirements.

  • Design System Management:聽Champion and manage our design system, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability across all products.


Qualifications

  • Education:聽Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.

  • Experience:聽At least聽5-7 years of experience聽in product design. Experience in the fintech, tax, or accounting software industry is a significant plus.

  • Skills:

    • Portfolio:聽A strong portfolio demonstrating a track record of successful product design and leadership.

    • Expertise in UX/UI:聽Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.

    • Leadership:聽Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a design team.

    • Tools:聽Proficiency with design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.

Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate design decisions to stakeholders.
