Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) GTM Analytics team, dedicated to accelerating growth in the Mid Market organization. This role will focus on driving measurable business impact by enhancing customer segmentation, optimizing targeting strategies, and improving demand generation effectiveness across acquisition, conversion, and retention.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will deliver actionable insights that influence GTM strategies, marketing investments, and sales motions. You will leverage advanced analytics, experimentation, and causal inference to uncover opportunities, improve business performance, and transform customer understanding into scalable growth strategies.

Responsibilities

Segmentation & Targeting

• Develop and refine advanced segmentation frameworks to identify, prioritize, and engage high-value Mid Market customers.
• Build predictive models (e.g., propensity, churn, LTV) to inform targeting strategies across sales and marketing channels.
• Partner with GTM stakeholders to embed segmentation into campaign design, targeting, and personalization.

Demand Generation & Funnel Optimization

• Analyze the full GTM funnel to identify drivers of acquisition, conversion, and retention.
• Provide insights into marketing campaign performance, sales pipeline health, and channel effectiveness to maximize ROI.
• Recommend actionable strategies to improve funnel progression and accelerate revenue growth.

Experimentation & Causal Inference

• Design and execute experiments to test GTM hypotheses, validate strategies, and optimize initiatives.
• Apply causal inference methods to measure the true impact of marketing and sales efforts.
• Translate results into actionable recommendations that improve decision-making speed and confidence.

Business Performance & Insights

• Deliver recurring and ad-hoc analyses on business performance, uncovering growth levers and risk areas.
• Build measurement frameworks that provide visibility into acquisition, conversion, and retention outcomes.
• Synthesize insights into compelling stories that directly inform GTM strategy and execution.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Finance to align on growth opportunities and investment strategies.
• Influence stakeholders through clear communication and data storytelling.
• Mentor junior team members, sharing best practices in experimentation, segmentation, and performance measurement.

Qualifications

Experience & Expertise

• 4+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or related quantitative fields, ideally in GTM, marketing analytics, or growth-focused roles.
• Proven track record applying segmentation, targeting, and experimentation to drive acquisition, conversion, and retention improvements.
• Experience analyzing demand generation, funnel performance, and marketing/sales effectiveness.

Technical Proficiency

• Advanced skills in SQL and Python (or R) for data extraction, modeling, and analysis.
• Proficiency with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to communicate insights clearly.

Collaboration & Communication

• Strong communication and storytelling skills with experience influencing business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to quickly understand new business areas and translate complex analyses into actionable strategies.
